Growing up on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, some my earliest memories are of standing in my mother’s kitchen, fascinated by the sights and sounds of her preparing sumptuous smelling dishes from her native Nicaragua. I was enthralled by the exotic flavors, exuberant colors and Central American sensibility of her Latin styled evenings – from a young age I was hooked! I eventually moved to California to work in the Entertainment Industry, but my love of food + entertaining always remained.
After 10 years away I returned home to NYC and began cooking for fun, bringing my Nicaraguan infused Latin delicacies around town. What began as a hobby became a growing business: word quickly spread, not only of the home-grown atmosphere of my unique events but of the classic mouth-watering
